Myth Makers: The SEN Adventure Squad (Jan Block)

£50.00

Writing is hard. Legends are EPIC.

Does your child have a huge imagination but struggles to get it down on paper? Myth Makers is a specialist, small-group club designed exclusively for Neurodiverse and SEN adventurers ages 7 and up.

We ditch the desks and the pressure. Instead, we use oral storytelling, prop-making, and role play to master literacy skills. This term we are focusing on Norse Mythology to kick imaginations into gear!

We use a Total Communication approach (signs, symbols, images, and props) to bring every story to life.

⚔️ The Mission:

  • 🎧 Listen (Home Mission): You get a link to a short audio story before the session. This pre-teaches the plot so your child arrives feeling confident and ready.

  • 🗣️ Speak: Master the art of oral storytelling. We prioritise ideas over handwriting, taking the stress out of literacy.

  • 🛡️ Belong: A safe, exclusive squad of just 6 children.

📍 The Details:

  • When: Mondays (Term Time, see below)

  • Time: 4 PM – 4:45 PM

  • Where: St Werburghs Community Centre, Room 10.

  • Ages: 7 to 13

  • Group Size: Strictly limited to 6.

🗓️ Dates (March Block):

  • Mon 9th March 2026

  • Mon 16th March 2026

  • Mon 23rd March 2026

  • Mon 30th March 2026

(Please note: This is a drop-off session. Our staff are DBS checked, insured, and Paediatric First Aid trained).

*The club must have six members to operate, if we are unable to fill these spots by February 23rd 2026 then the club will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
