Is your child full of beans? Wiggly Phonics turns learning to read into a high-energy game. We use "Gross Motor" skills—jumping, dancing, and stomping—to help sticky sounds stay stuck!
Perfect for active children who need to get the wiggles out after school, and fully inclusive for children who need visual or physical cues to learn.
🦖 What we do:
Move: Learn phonics through active games (no sitting at desks!).
Focus: Build attention skills through "Stop/Go" challenges and listening games.
🗣️ Get Loud: Use big voices and silly sounds to make phonics memorable in a zero-pressure environment.
📍 The Details:
When: Tuesdays (Term Time)
Time: 3:45 PM – 4:30 PM
Where: St Werburghs Community Centre, Room 8.
Ages: Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 & Year 2).
Group Size: Max 15 children.
⚠️ Important: Staying On-Site Due to the age of the group (and potential toilet trips!), we require a responsible adult to remain in the foyer throughout the session.
Can I drop off? No, you must remain on the premises. However, you are welcome to "team up" with another parent (e.g., one adult responsible for two children), provided every child has a designated adult available in the foyer in case they are needed.
